Recently, the nation of Iran was successfully sued on behalf of victims of the 9/11 terror attacks. Following the passage of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, a judge ruled found the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps liable for the deaths of over 1,000 people whose families sued.
A US federal judge has now also ruled that Saudi Arabia is permissible to sue on behalf of the 9/11 victims and their families.
