Pete Miller- Attorney

Pete Miller focuses his practice in the areas of Products Liability Law, Aviation Law, Motor Vehicle Accidents and all areas relating to catastrophic injuries. He has been involved in numerous pharmaceutical trials and managed the settlement and accounting of over 5,000 fen-phen clients.

Mr. Miller has served on the following Plaintiffs' Steering Committees:

  • JCCP 4615, Pain Pump Litigation consolidated in California State Court before the Honorable Gail Adler
  • MDL 1968, Digitek Litigation consolidated before the Honorable Joseph R. Goodwin
    United States District Court
    Southern District of West Virginia
  • MDL 2391, Biomet Metal on Metal Hip Litigation, consolidated before the Honorable Robert Miller

Mr. Miller's past experience with multi-district drug litigations began with MDL 1203 In Re diet drug products liability litigation. Mr. Miller conducted several depositions of prescribing and treating doctors for the lead trial group and was heavily involved in the initial trials that led to a 9-figure settlement for the firms over 5,000 FenPhen claims. Mr. Miller has also represented clients in the following MDLs:

  • MDL No. 1657 – In Re Vioxx Products Liability Litigation.
  • MDL No. 1742 – In Re Ortho Evra Products Liability Litigation.
  • MDL No. 1905 – In Re Medtronic Sprint Fidelis Leads Product Liability Litigation.
  • MDL No. 1871 – In Re Avandia Marketing, Sales Practices and Products Liability Litigation.

In addition, Mr. Miller was appointed the overseer of a Qualified Settlement Fund for the processing and settlement of over 900 Zyprexa claims involved in MDL 1596.

Pete attended Virginia Tech where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He then studied in the Virginia Law Reader Program, a rigorous self study program designed for busy professionals.

Pete became a member of the Virginia Bar in 2002, and is an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Thomas F. DellaFera, Jr.- Attorney

Tom graduated from the University of Richmond's T.C. Williams School of Law after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Mary Washington. His varied legal background began in his final summer at UMW, where he was an intern for Rappahannock Legal Services. While there he worked with indigent clients and attorneys on all manner of cases ranging from civil suits to Social Security appeals to defending evictions.

Prior to graduating from Richmond Law, Tom interned with the Spotsylvania County Commonwealth's Attorney, where he cut his teeth handling misdemeanors and worked with attorneys to build criminal cases, including felonies. In addition, Tom participated in Richmond Law's Intellectual Property and Transactional Law Clinic during his third year of law school. As a Student Associate, he helped clients navigate their nascent businesses through intellectual property and formation issues. Tom's legal experience allows him to efficiently handle procedural issues and focus on client needs.

While studying at the University of Richmond, Tom was on the board of the law school's Student Intellectual Property Law Association chapter and was a member of the Trademark Law Moot Court team, through which he competed in a national competition in New York City. He earned the Intellectual Property Law Certificate with distinction upon graduation.

Tom currently represents individuals who have been diagnosed with Pseudotumor Cerebri stemming from their use of certain contraceptives.

Tom is licensed to practice in Virginia.
